Aaron Silverstein's Testimony

My name is Aaron Silverstein. I'm ten years old and grew up in a Jewish home with my Jewish parents and my older Jewish sister. We kept our faith, rituals and traditions, and I was proud to be Jewish, but it didn't mean all that much to me.

I go to a public school, and there's only a couple other Jewish kids at my school. I always thougth the Christian kids were lucky because Christmas seems like a fun thing. I always wished Santa Claus would come to our house. He never diod. When we came back to school from Easter break, they always had lots of candy from their baskets. Hanukkah and Passover never seemed as neat.

But the n ight my sister became a Christian, I was sitting in church with my family and I felt that "call" on my heart, too. I went to the altar and my Dad cam eup with me. It was so easy! All I h ad to do was pray to Jesus, and it's like He had just been waiting for me to invite Him in.

I can't wait to celebrate my first Christmas this year! And them my first Easter next Spring. But I've learned that it's more than Santa Claus and Easter eggs. I'll be celebrating the birth and death of the One who came and died for me. Just for me!
