BIBLICAL ARCHAEOLOGY

ARCHAEOLOGY is the scientific study of past human life, activities and cultures by excavation and analysis of their monuments and the artifacts left by ancient people. On the surface, it might seem that archaeology is just about digging ... but it actually goes deeper than that.

Our Biblical archaeology page is a new feature here at New Jerusalem Ministries. From time-to-time, I will be adding new pages which will be devoted to findings of historic significance to the Christian and Jewish churches and Judeo-Christian history. I want to provide you with timely, reliable and insightful information for extending your understanding of the Bible and the Biblical world.

David's Tomb, Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant, the Home of Peter ... there are many exciting pages in the works for our Biblican Archaeology site! If there is a specific topic YOU would like to see explored, please email me at newjerusalem2003@yahoo.com and I'll try my best to add it to this page!

In the film Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones threatens to blow up the Ark of the Covenant. His nemesis pats the ark and says: "You and I are just passing through history. This IS history."

So come along as we explore the ancient world of the Middle East, and catch a glimpse of the world as Jesus knew it. Hopefully you'll feel that you were right there for the dig yourself!
