Step #1 Becoming a Believer (A Child of God)
Step #2 Entering the wonderful life of Discipleship
Making a decision to trust JESUS!!
Trusting Jesus means: you turned to God from your own way of living
(Acts 3:19)....
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord".
You received God's gift of salvation
(Ephesians 2:8-9)....
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not
from yourselves, it is the gift of God...not by works, so that no one
can boast".
Jesus talks about the many that know something about God, but only a
few have accepted his forgiveness. Just listening to His words or
experiencing His miracles or going to church or praying IS NOT ENOUGH
you must turn from your sin and trust in the forgiveness that is ONLY
available through Jesus!
We know that God has CHOSEN YOU, dear brothers, much beloved of God.
For when we brought you the Good News, it was not just meaningless
chatter to you; no, you listened with great interest. What we told you
produced a powerful effect upon you, for the Holy Spirit gave you
great and full assurance that what we said is true.
(1 Thessalonians 1:4-5)....
"For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, ...because
our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with
the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among
you for your sake".
And so, dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God.
Let them be a living sacrifice holy the kind he can accept. When you
think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy
the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different
person with a fresh newness in all you do and think.
(Romans 12:1-2)....
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your
bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your
spiritual[1] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern
of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good,
pleasing and perfect will".
Jesus said it, "I am the Way and the Truth and Life. NO ONE comes to
the Father except by means of me."
(John 14:6)....
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me".
Jesus says He is the only WAY to the Father.
Who do (YOU) say (Jesus) is?
Do you believe He is....
A) God in the flesh?
B) Son of God?
C) Son of Man?
D) The Christ, Messiah?
E) Savior and Lord?
F) All of the above?
In whom did you put your trust in....
A) For the forgiveness of your sin?
B) For eternal life?
Then you can be assured that you are . . .
A) Saved
B) Born-again
C) Blood bought
D) Justified
E) Sanctified
F) Redeemed on your way to heaven!
Before becoming a disciple of Christ, one must become a
Christian, as stated above!

God's plan of Salvation and the Prayer of Repentence
Once you have made that decision and prayed
this prayer, you will enter into a wonderful new life in Chirst, then

disciple or follower of Christ.
Discipleship involves ALL areas of a persons life. Therefore, we
provide material that will benefit each person in as many areas as
possible. It is important to note that no amount of knowledge will
benefit you or your disciple unless you take that knowledge and put
it into action.
Training men to be godly men in the church and in their families seems
to be a forgotten area of instruction in many churches across our
country. God's word is very clear about the importance of training up
men in the church. Carefully read the following passages:
2Timothy 2:2, "And the things that you have heard from me among many
witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach
others also."
Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Christianity is about FREEDOM - freedom to choose God, to love and be
loved, freedom from the control of sin (Rom 6 - no longer slaves to
sin), freedom from the penalty of death, freedom from guilt and fear,
freedom to realize our god-given potential. THAT's why it's called the
GOOD NEWS, isn't it? So as Paul was always speaking out, teaching
letters and writing letters to dispel false teachings that were
enslaving believers all over again (do not allow yourselves to be
taken captive..), let us speak out and correct what is wrong in our
own rows! It's up to us to correct what is wrong because WE are the
church! God gave you a mind to discern - use it! If you have been
burnt by abusive discipleship, remember,"Truth" remains truth, whether we believe
it or not! Test everything and keep the good. If you see abuse or
control in your church, do your research, check the practices against
the Bible and SPEAK OUT, like Paul did!
